Our Why

We Live and Work Well When We are Connected!

We believe meaningful connection is essential to our health and well-being.

As Dr. Brené Brown reminds us, “Connection is why we’re here. It’s what gives purpose and meaning to our lives.” Connection helps us thrive at home, at work, and in community.

Hey Friend! I’m Nanah!

I find joy in quality time with loved ones, being in nature, and on my mat. I serve as the Founder of Naka Wells.

With a Master of Public Health and a certificate in Organizational Wellness, I’ve spent over 12 years serving communities through the development and implementation of health and wellness programs.

Through this work, I witnessed many struggling not just with chronic conditions, but with a deeper, often overlooked challenge: loneliness. I saw this not only in others, but in myself. While navigating motherhood, career, and relationships, I felt lonely at times—even when surrounded by people and active on social media. I lacked the tools to create and sustain connections that truly supported my well-being. So I did the inner work. I deepened my focus on personal and social well-being, drew on my professional training and developed a Connection Tool-belt—a collection of well-being practices that guide my work.

I look forward to connectingwith you and supporting your mission!
